This Privacy Policy describes how Edgeseeker ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Edgeseeker website at edgeseeker.com and the Edgeseeker API at api.edgeseeker.com.

What we collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the API service:

  • Name — provided during API key registration
  • Email address — used to deliver your API key and service notices
  • Intended use — collected at registration to understand how the API is being used
  • API usage data — we log request counts per API key per day for rate limiting purposes

We do not collect payment information, browsing history, device fingerprints, or any personal information beyond what is listed above.

How we use your information

  • To deliver your API key via email
  • To enforce rate limits on API usage
  • To contact you about service updates, new features, and security issues
  • To notify you about new Edgeseeker products and services
  • To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the service

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and tracking

We use no tracking cookies. The Edgeseeker website and API do not set any cookies, use analytics tracking, or employ any third-party tracking technologies. No cookie consent banner is required because no cookies are used.

Email communications

By registering for an API key you consent to receive emails from Edgeseeker, including your API key delivery, service announcements, and occasional product updates about new Edgeseeker offerings. We will never send unsolicited marketing emails unrelated to Edgeseeker products and services. We use Resend to deliver transactional email. We do not send marketing emails.

To stop receiving emails from Edgeseeker, contact us at edgeseeker.api@gmail.com and we will deactivate your account.

Data retention

Your registration information (name, email, API key) is retained for as long as your account is active. Daily usage counters are retained for 90 days for rate limiting and abuse detection purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at edgeseeker.api@gmail.com.

Data security

API keys are stored in a secured database. All data transmission between your client and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We take reasonable measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security against all possible threats.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data

Children's privacy

The Edgeseeker API is intended for use by developers and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Continued use of the API after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
